👋🏻 Hello Reader...!

Today's reading time is about: 2.5 minutes.

Hello—end of March. It is time to stop and check what you are doing, believe me, I just did it myself!

New season, new energy… but before you jump into April, pause for a second.

Most runners don’t need a new plan right now.
They need a clear look at what just happened.

Because if March or the year so far wasn’t effective, April won’t magically fix it.

Spring isn’t just about starting fresh.
It’s about correcting direction.

What Your Training Is Telling You

If you review your last 4 weeks honestly, patterns show up fast:

  • You probably trained in the middle too often
  • Your easy days weren’t really easy
  • Your fatigue didn’t translate into performance

This is exactly where most runners plateau.

Performance improves when stress is applied correctly and recovered from intentionally(Seiler & Tønnessen, 2009).

For female athletes, this matters even more.

Your body’s response is dynamic—not fixed.
Recovery, fueling, and stress all influence adaptation (Sims, 2020).

If you don’t review this, you’re not optimizing—you’re guessing.

2026 Asics LA Marathon – A Finish Defined by Courage, Collapse, and Chaos.

What You Should Do Today

Take 10 minutes.

Look at March and ask:

  • Where did I improve?
  • Where did I just accumulate fatigue?

Then make ONE adjustment:

→ Fix your intensity
→ Improve your recovery
→ Fuel better

Not everything. Just one.

Because progress doesn’t come from doing more.

It comes from doing what matters—consistently.

If this hits, send it to someone who trains hard but never reviews.

New goals
New mileage
New motivation

What's Going On in the World of Running?

1. The "Atlanta Three" Get Justice: World Athletics Steps In

World Athletics made an "exceptional, one-time" decision this week to expand Team USA for the upcoming World Road Running Championships in Copenhagen. After the qualifying incident in Atlanta where the lead pack (McClain, Hurley, and Kurgat) was led off-course by a vehicle, officials have granted three extra spots, a bittersweet but historic victory for athlete advocacy. 2. Boston & London: The "Major" Chess Match

With April just around the corner, the elite fields for the 130th Boston Marathon and London Marathon are playing mind games. While Boston boasts the "deepest field ever" (25 men sub-2:07), London has countered with a historic clash: Tigst Assefa, Sifan Hassan, and Peres Jepchirchir will all share the same start line for the first time since their Olympic podium battle. 3. Mandatory SRY Gene Testing

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) recently announced a major policy shift regarding the eligibility of female athletes. In a decision made on March 26, 2026, the IOC introduced mandatory genetic screening to determine eligibility for the women’s category at the Olympic Games, starting with the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics.
